Payal Shah joined IER in Feb 2011 as a full – time IT Programmer. Payal has completed her Master of Technology – Information Technology at Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn with Distinction. Her particular focus and specialisation is in .Net, Java and PHP.
She started her career in the IT Sector with three months internship at Inform Financial Group, Sandringham as Intern Business System Analyst/Programmer. Her project was to design back office flow of work and to make improvements and recommendations to management reports.
She has also worked as a volunteer at Engineers without Border (Non-Profit Organisation) as a web developer, designer and database developer, where she was responsible for server-side programming when building a dynamic, database-driven application of the site using PHP, MVC architectural pattern and MySQL.
Prior to Joining IER, Payal was working as an IT Support Analyst on three months contractual position at Verified Pty Ltd. Her major responsibilities were to stream line daily operations of data collection, procession, validation and cleansing, uploading and presenting field data into Knowledge. This ensured critical information was accessible electronically at all times to the client with interactive web portal. This enhanced Payal’s expertise in .Net technologies , SQL server and Visual Basic.
Working with the Senior IT programmer at IER, Payal is responsible for the development of IER’s online surveys and reports using .Net and SQL server and the day to day maintenance of the CustomerDirect online portal. Furthermore, her role is to develop and improve the functionality of Customer Direct and IER’s online survey system, maintaining the IER server, backup, mail server, CustomerDirect database and responding to client’s inquiries.
