City of Ballarat - Event Tourism Impacts
IER partnered with the City of Ballarat to provide tourism evaluations for a number of major events for the council. These events included the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, Jayco Herald Sun Tour, Mars Cycling Australia Road National Championships and the Organs of Ballarat Festival of Music.
The research program was developed to understand the profile of customers, attendance behaviour and motivations for attendance as well as key tourism impacts generated by the events. IER and the City of Ballarat have recently signed a four year partnership to measure the tourism impacts of the Mars Cycling Australia Road National Championships.
